Quick news update
Wednesday - December 07, 2005

Sorry, gotta make it short today . . . very busy.

NY Post: The Blueshirts trail only red-hot Ottawa in the Eastern Conference and head to Chicago brimming with confidence. Goalie Henrik Lundqvist has been a key to that, as has the Rangers' dominance at home, where they are 10-2-2.

NY Daily News: But Rucchin is learning when at the Garden this season, do as the Europeans do. So, somewhat sheepishly, the alternate captain joined his teammates at center ice following Monday night's victory over Minnesota in a stick-raising salute to the fans.

NY Newsday: Unless they meet in the Stanley Cup Finals, the Rangers are done for the season with the Minnesota Wild. In 12 days, they'll be able to say the same thing about the Blackhawks, Predators, Blues, Canucks and Avalanche.

The Journal News: Weekes will be in Chicago, in uniform, ready to play after missing four games with a bruised right ankle suffered when the crossbar toppled on him in Atlanta Nov. 24.

The Rodent continues the love affair with Petr Prucha.

Bird has a new Birdcage up for your reading pleasure.

Tonight the Rangers face the Chicago Blackhawks. The puck drops at 8:30 pm EST. Enjoy the game.
