It's the feeling that nothing like this has ever happened before. Over the last seven painful seasons a loss like the one last night would send the team into a four game slump. Or worse.

Not this year. Hot dam! It's great to be a Rangers fan. Petr Prucha jersey's will start flying off the shelves this Christmas season as he's scoring goals....and big ones.

Nashville Predators defenseman Kimmo Timonen (44) of Finland, pokes the puck from New York Ranger right wing Petr Prucha (25) of Czech Republic, as Nashville defenseman Mark Eaton, left, defends with goalie Chris Mason (30) eyeing the puck during the second period in Nashville, Tenn., Thursday, Dec. 8, 2005. Now I want to go back to a few days ago when I posted this: "The NY Islander teams of the early 80's would fall behind 0-3 and then someone like Howit, Gilles or Duane Sutter would start a fight and wake the team up. They'd come back to win. I'd seen it done so very many times."

Tonight with Nashville down 0-3 they started a fight. It's like an unwritten law. I don't want to get on the team after such a great bounce back win but I needed to point out that this is one area where this team could use some help. To be fair I should also add that this tactic I so admire didn't work tonight for Nashville, a team that was 13-2 at home this year(now 13-3)....but I still believe a team needs to do it anyway. Call me old school.

Speaking of old school, I spoke with our buddy Matthew Barnaby after the loss to the Hawks and asked him for his perspective on the Rangers as a team and what it was like to play against them. He answered: "They played with much more discipline. I think the players are being held accountable and they are playing a better team game. We were fortunate to win."

I still watch MB 36 every chance I get. He's a hockey player. There is no higher compliment.

5-1 was tonight's score with both Prucha and Rucchin netting two a piece. Here's the box.

Beer me. Yeah baby!

I can’t begin to knowin’
But then I know it’s growin’ strong

Was in the spring
And spring became the summer
Who’d have believed you’d come along

Hands, touchin’ hands
Reachin’ out
Touchin’ me
Touchin’ you

Sweet caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I’ve been inclined
To believe they never would

But now i
Look at the night
And it don’t seem so lonely
We fill it up with only two
And when I hurt
Hurtin’ runs off my shoulders
How can I hurt when I’m with you

Warm, touchin’ warm
Reachin’ out
Touchin’ me
Touchin’ me

Sweet caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I’ve been inclined
To believe they never would
Oh, no, no

Sweet caroline
Good times never seemed so good
I’ve been inclined
I believed they never could
Sweet caroline
