Olympic Sized Headache
Sunday - February 19, 2006
UPDATE 2:30pm: Jagr is playing vs. Italy. I think this means he's OK as far as his future with the NY Rangers this season. I am different than the other writers here in that I enjoy the Winter Games, always have. Just because Americans are not winning gold doesn't change my enjoyment. I was never in it for the wins as much as the events themselves. But maybe that's for another day. Right now we're all worried about JJ. Here's the Rodent who's plugged into all things Czech. Daily news - Hadamczik did not say if Jagr had any injuries, and the Czech team's medical staff was not available for comment Toronto Star - Jagr's status remains uncertain, though his coach said he could play as early as today. NY Post - Watching Jagr lying there on the ice, maybe your first thought was this: Hockey players are tough, they get up from these things all the time. But your next thought was this: What if he doesn't? Let's all hope that JJ is not injured to the point that it effects the Rangers season. I also hope for Jagr's sake he's OK. I'll try and get back later as I'll be watching a lot of hockey today and later will ice skate with my girls. It'll be the first time on ice since I last played several years ago. ----}- Bird Posted by Bird at February 19, 2006 10:56 AMeMail this entry! |
