That's pretty drunk for 11:00 AM in the morning.

Of course, all of today's news regarding the Rangers revolves around Sandis Ozolinsh and his recent arrest. There really isn't much to say about it, the guy has a problem.

If you are wondering what the team might do with him, Larry Brooks provides some guidance. Uncle Larry reports that Ozo entered the NHL's substance abuse program again, voluntarily. This means that if he remains in the program beyond June 30th, he cannot be bought out. Reports out of Latvia regarding his retirement were mistaken, as he was retiring from the Latvian national team, and not the NHL.

Both Larry and the Rodent think that the Blueshirts could place Ozo on waivers and assign him to Hartford, where his contract would not count against the cap. I kind of get the feeling that he would rather return home to Latvia than be stuck in the AHL, but who knows.

In the meantime, Sandis' former team, the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim, beat the Flames in Calgary to advance to the second round. This was the fourth straight Game 7 the Flames have lost at home. This was the first time since 1974 that the top four seeds in a conference have been knocked out in the first round.

The Conference semifinals get under way tomorrow, with Ottawa and Buffalo starting things off.

If things weren't tough enough for Flyer fans following their embarrassing Game 6 loss to the Sabres, they are now hearing that superstar Peter Forsberg may miss the start of next season if he elects to have surgery on his ankles.

The Wolf Pack continue their series against the Portland Pirates tonight in Hartford. They will probably be shaking things up following their 6-2 loss in the opener. The team added three players, including prospect Jakub Petruzalek, through amateur tryout contracts.

I decided which team I am going to root for from here on out . . . whichever team is playing the Devils. Let me go get my Eric Staal jersey.
