It was the last sentence in the article with nothing more than a guess yet websites picked up on it and for a day or two, debates raged on messageboards. Had the Rangers failed to give Tomas Pöck a fair chance? Had he played well enough? Did Slats see enough? Funny, a day later Pöck signed and all the talk was moot. I bring this up as an important point because we are all reading and posting in numerous threads on different boards with little to no real information. Silly arguments break out based on false info, rumor or comments like the one found in the Hartford Courant. I don't mean to give Bruce Berlet a hard time here, it's not like he's the only one......."could play in Europe, possibly his native Austria" that sentence is hardly rock solid info, no? Spector dreams of the day that a Canadian team wins the Cup in the Soapbox. Personally, if the Rangers don't win I could enjoy a Canadian team winning. The BlueShirt Bulletin always has something to get you through these summer, hockeyless days. On Sept. 4th I'll be joining the chat that they host. I think it starts at 8pm. Get your beer early. I wrote a Birdcage article on the Malkin issue before he turned up in L.A. and now we have the same Russian team granting permission to one of it's players to join the Ottawa Senators. Here's Malkin's side of the story thanks to T-bone, a Reader from Finland. We are getting ready for a possible hurricane down here.....let's hope it goes elsewhere. ----}- Bird Posted by Bird at August 27, 2006 11:16 AMeMail this entry! |
