Happy Thanksgiving, Where's My Nuke
Monday - October 09, 2006

To our Canadian readers....have a happy happy.

In the U.S. we celebrate Columbus Day.

In North Korea they are celebrating the test of a nuclear weapon.

Peter Forsberg has been one of the best players in the NHL for a while now. He's now the captain of the Flyers and I'm sure most of you expected to see him during the shootout Saturday night taking one of the three shooters spots for Philly.

It wasn't until the 11th shooter that Peter finally took his shot which was stopped by Lundqvist. It's kind of surprising to hear afterwards that the Flyers captain complained of bad sticks and a lack of confidence in his shot.

The Rodent wasn't too pleased with what he saw in Philly.

Newsday - "It figures that the most significant goal of Marcel Hossa's 125-game NHL career was overshadowed Saturday by one of the biggest nights in recent baseball history in New York, when the heavily favored Yankees were eliminated by the Tigers and the Mets swept the Dodgers to advance to the National League Championship Series."

NJ.COM - A year ago, the Flyers and their Stanley Cup hopes opened at home against the lightly regarded Rangers. But their fast start and late loss was a por tent of a disappointing season to come, while the Rangers led the Atlantic Division for most of last season.

There's not much in the way of Ranger news this morning. The BlueShirt Bulletin is always worth your time.

Rangers-Flyer again tomorrow night. This time at home.
