OK, who else decided to fall asleep down 0-3? C'mon....raise your hands. We won't take away your fandom. Although some may be looking to give it away. Speaking of giveaways....oh nevermind.
Henke gave up another 4 goals. This is disturbing and I'm having an issue as I'm running out of excuses for him. I can explain away some of these goals, tips, dips, deflections....but the fact is Henke has to stop the puck. He's not doing it well enough fer sure.
For those of you who stayed up....let's see ya pull that off for the back to back games coming up.
Höckey Rödent - If I'm Pöck, I want out of this organ-eye-zation, just like Colby Genoway and Derek Armstrong before him. High-priced veterans get to stink up the joint on a nightly basis while eager and hungry guys with less notoriety never get the chance to earn a spot through effort.
Newsday - Halloween came a night early in the Staples Center. In the first period, the Rangers played like zombies and never really came back to life.
Daily News - Against a Los Angeles team that had scored just 25 goals in 12 games and had won just one of its previous 10, the Rangers fell behind 2-0 before the game was 12 minutes old. By the end of an embarrassing first period in which they lost just about every battle and race for loose pucks, the Rangers had been outshot 21-5.
NY Post - Of the issues facing the Rangers, the most significant is Lundqvist. They have essentially no chance to make the playoffs with the type of marginal goaltending they've received so far.
L.A. Daily News - "There are two areas of concern: scoring and keeping the puck out of the net," Crawford said Monday morning. "If we solve those two things, we'll be OK."
I have little to add here. After becoming a very entertaining team last season, this year's squad is well, less than that. Last season the Rangers had a hell of a November....they're gonna need another one just like it.
