Bobby Granger's Rangers
Monday - November 20, 2006
I forgot to mention in last night's recap that the Fonze was ejected with a game misconduct for telling the Refs that they had perhaps done their job poorly....or words to that effect. Here's the news.... Uncle Larry - While Jagr set the tone early, the Rangers were far more than a one-man or one-line band. Henrik Lundqvist was vintage royalty in nets, as quick as he has been all season, covering as much net as he has all season. After a stutter start to his sophomore year, the King has surrendered three goals or fewer in six straight starts, allowing two in three of the six. More NY Post - Appropriately, the winning goal was scored by Brian Leetch, whose younger brother Eric, a Green Beret captain, had arrived back in the states from duty in the Middle East that same day. Daily News - Tampa Bay coach John Tortorella took an unsportsmanlike conduct minor and was ejected from the game late in the second period for raging at the referees after a second video review went against his team, nullifying an apparent Eric Perrin goal that would have cut it to 2-1. Journal News - The Rangers have been any number of things this season, but they've never been the same thing for very long. They are disjointed one night. They are brilliant the next. Don't forget to scroll down for this weekends coverage. Oh....on the Rodent's board are links to some great Bobby Granger comercials. I like the one where he Joins Sam in the booth. ----}- Bird Posted by Bird at November 20, 2006 07:44 AMeMail this entry! |
