Beer Me.....one more time.
Friday - October 12, 2007

Hello NY and everywhere else, it's me Bird. Hockeybird will be leaving this server in a short while. I do expect that Hockeybird will continue in some form or another but I might be away for a bit.

Let me explain a little. Since I can't put in the time to make Hockeybird....er, well Hockeybird and at the same time this server and connection will no longer be available it's time to say goodnight for a bit. Before that happens I did wish to thank all of you who came here and our boards. I should also thank the guy behind the scenes who addressed all the tech stuff, Chris Masto who could care less about Hockey but does enjoy They Might Be Giants. Thanks dude, for everything over the years.

NEW YORK - OCTOBER 12: Jaromir Jagr #68 of the New York Rangers salutes the crowd after being named the first star of the game against the Washington Capitals after recording three assists in a 3-1 victory on October 12, 2007 at Madison Square Garden in New York City. So, did ya see the game? As aways I'd expect a good account of what happened on the ice from my buddy the Rodent. Don't be too surprised if you see me there....., after wiping my feet of course.

Rangerland.net .....can you dig it? I knew that ya could.

The dudes at the Blueshirt Bulletin have always been worth a visit so make sure you pop in there, OK?

Me? I'm fine with what I see so far. I'm liking the new guys as well as the rest of the team. After the games played so far one can't complain based on any facts.....oh, don't get me wrong. I'm sure there are Ranger Fans who already have complaints so they can sound important. But seriously, is there any valid reason to bitch? Not in my book.

I'm hopeful for the defense. While man down they have done well it's still unclear if all the Ranger D will figure out which ones to let Henke see and which ones to block. Shanny knew to let one go tonight and as a one time keeper I can tell you I was happy to see it. Lundqvist saw it all the way and if he can see it, he's gonna stop it most times.

Tyutin and Staal are two guys I'm watching and have some expectations from it's fair to say the D has been OK. Feder can really let it go as was displayed vs. the Isles on the killer goal he scored.

As for the Forwards, it's clear to me that Slats is going for it (The Stanley Pie) by the Roster moves he's made. Now it's just up to the guys to pull it off. Ya know....I believe they could. We'll see I guess eh?

For now let's celebrate the win in the right way......
