OK, this is a blatant pimp job by me. Hey, at least I'm honest about it.
But I will say this.....When I watch the playoffs this year I always hope that the games I want to watch are carried by Verses. The reason is simple. I love watching Hockey in High Def. Of course, if you don't have an HDTV it's wasted on you. However, if you also don't have the Center Ice package as I do then at least you get games you wouldn't normally see.
I have heard both positive and negative comments about the coverage but IMHO I enjoy the games and the coverage. I'm easy to please. Give me a great picture and have the broadcast team deliver some decent commentary and I'm fine. Those of you who wince each time Doc Emrick is on....get over it. It's a small price to pay for everything else you get and I happen to think he's one of the best in the Biz.
Let's wrap this up.......the 2008 Stanley Cup Playoffs on Verses = GOOD
Whining about little stuff........not very hockey-like.
HDTV rules.....and so does playoff hockey!
