Let's get a few things out of the way first......
The opening Devils goal was in fact a goal. Unless your fandom blinds you, one must agree that the ref had no business calling it off. I'll get to this in a bit but the refs were not at their best on Sunday night. Neither were the Rangers.
Sean Avery.
Well for one, the interference call was a joke. Marty clearly used his stick to pull the skates out from Sean. That said, the "face guarding" would piss me off as a keeper and I would have laid the lumber on Avery at the very least. Don't get me wrong.....I'm not saying Sean was in the wrong....I just wouldn't have let that go down without repercussions if I was in net.
The Rodent pointed out the many mistakes made by the Blueshirts. My thought is that while not playing an "A" game yet, the Rangers are up two games to one. I had no expectations that the Devs would lay down. Quite the opposite.
I've got a ton of work to do with no time to get it done......so I gotta go. I'll try and pop on tomorrow, time and health permitting.
