Straka done in NHL
Thursday - June 26, 2008
He was slowing down a bit, and his injuries really started to affect him, but Martin Straka was a good Ranger. He often wore an "A" as an alternate captain of the team, and you never heard him complain about anything. He scored 187 points in his three years here, and was a major part of the Rangers return to the postseason. Not to mention that he, along with Jagr and Michael Nylander, was part of one of the most productive lines in recent memory on Broadway. I don't think I'm jumping the gun here, because I'm almost certain he wasn't in the Rangers' plans for next season anyway, but a report out of the Czech Republic says that Straka will be playing overseas next season. Thanks, Martin, we appreciate all your efforts! (I wonder what Jaromir Jagr thinks about his good friend returning to his homeland?) Posted by jim at June 26, 2008 10:37 AMeMail this entry! |
